Schedule
Salud, carreta experiences take place on Saturdays only, with a maximum of two private groups per day to ensure a relaxed and high-quality experience.
Group A – Afternoon experience
- Pick-up in Miraflores at 1:30 p.m. (5-minute grace period).
- The experience runs from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
- Return to Miraflores by 4:30 p.m.
Grupo B – Evening experience
- Pick-up in Miraflores at 4:45 p.m (5-minute grace period).
- The experience runs from 5:15 to 7:15 p.m.
- Return to Miraflores by 7:45 p.m.

This is a cultural immersion activity for anyone looking to practice Spanish while in Lima.

Is this a Spanish class?
No. This is not a language class. It is a drink tasting experience that allows you to encounter Spanish in a real-world context as part of Llamacademy’s cultural immersion program.
What languages is the experience conducted in?
The main experience is conducted in Spanish by local guides. However, if you are not fluent in the language, we can adapt our experiences to English, as guides are bilingual (EN–SP).
Is prior knowledge of Spanish required?
Not necessarily. The experiences are designed for those looking to practice Spanish in a real-world context. However, if you haven’t yet started learning Spanish but are interested in immersion activities, we can adapt the language to your needs. The guides speak both English and Spanish.
Who is this experience for?
Salud, Carreta is designed exclusively for international English-speaking visitors looking to practice Spanish or immerse themselves in the culture. This experience is not available to residents or native Spanish-speaking visitors in general.
How many people are in each group?
This is a private experience for small groups only, up to 4 participants per group.
Is transportation included?
Yes. Private transportation from and back to Miraflores is fully included in the price.
Where does the experience take place?
The experience takes place in a private venue in Lima, approximately 25 minutes from the center of Miraflores by private transport. The exact location is shared after booking confirmation.
How long does the experience last?
2-hour experience, plus approximately 1 hour of transportation (30 minutes each way).
What is included in the price?
The experience is all-inclusive, covering ingredients, live drink preparation by the Llamacademy’s bartender, the tasting, cultural storytelling and explanations, and private transportation. Llamacademy guarantees you a safe experience in a private and intimate space. There are no hidden costs.
Will I get drunk during the experience?
The experience is designed for tasting, not for excessive drinking.
All cocktails are served in controlled tasting portions, and Peruvian snacks (piqueos) are provided throughout the experience to help balance alcohol consumption.

The experience includes four cocktails, all made with Peruvian pisco.
Each cocktail is presented with an explanation of its history and cultural significance during the tasting.
